I.ApplicantQualifications
Applicants for postdoctoral posts must meet all the following requirements:
(1)Getting a doctor's degree (domestic or overseas), the obtaining duration of the degree is no more than 3 years;
(2)Not doing regular work, or not having registered to the original work unit;
(3)With good research skills and in good health;
(4)No older than 35 years old (generally)

1 | The applicant should submit application by sending E-mail or handing in a Resume in person. | After the application received, we will conduct a preliminary assessment of the applicant's materials. If the material is approved, we will recommend cooperative supervisors for applicants. |
2 | After receiving the notice from the Management Office of NUAA, the applicant should go through physical and mental health examination organized by our school. The applicant should contact professors of relevant disciplines, and ask for guidance about entering the station. | The arrangement of the physical examination: Time and Place: Every Wednesday Morning ininfirmary on main campus. (You need to get a recommendation letter from Postdoctoral Management Office before taking the physical examination.) |
3 | Within the agreed time, the applicant should go for another intervew in the institution where the station is etablished. The applicant need to fill in the forms after passing the interview, and log in the “National Interactive Online Office System” to go through the application procedures online. | We will help to facilitate entrance process and solve other possible problems for applicants. |
4 | After thedoctoral defense, the doctor shall submit the entrance application materials to Postdoctoral Management Office. The following materials shall be provided for entrance application: 1. Form to Apply for Post-doctor in NUAA(Attachment 1) 2.The Postdoctoral Entrance Evaluation Form(Attachment 2) 3. Materials downloaded from “The Online Office System for Postdoctor in China”: (1)Postdoctoral Application Form (2)Evaluation Opinion of The Station-setting Organization (3)The Postdoctoral Entrance Evaluation Form 4.The copy of Doctorate degree certificate or relevant materials that can prove the applicant’s passing the doctoral thesis; 5. Passport (foreign nationals)、(Hong Kong and Macao residents shall provide Hong Kong special administrative region resident identity cards) (Taiwan residents shall provide Taiwan resident identity cards) ; 6.The form of postdoctoral salary standard and the payment status of the cooperative supervisor(Attachment 3) 7. Academic degree certification issued by Chinese diplomatic missions abroad. 8. Health certificate issued by local hospital. | We will check and verify the station entrance paper materials and online office materials of the applicant. If the material is approved, we will go to the expert office of The Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu province to handle the entry and approval procedures, then issue <The Postdoctoral Admission Notice>. |
5 | After receiving the notice of Postdoctoral Management Office, the applicant shall go to the personnel department to handle the registration procedures, with the “postdoctoral admission notice”. After registration, the applicant needs to provide the following materials within one month: 1. “Work assignment for postdoctoral researchers”(Attachment 4) 2. “Work agreement for foreign postdoctoral researchers”(Attachment 5) | We will provide the postdoctors housing, assist them with the entrance procedure, and then inform the personnel department to offer them the salary. |
IV.Online application materials and instructions
1. “Postdoctoral Application Form”
The form must be printed by postdoctors directly in the online system. The verification code is provided at the bottom right corner of the form. If not, the application will not be approved.
2. “Evaluation Opinion of The Station-setting Organization”
Download this form, and fill in it with the help of the postdoctoral supervisor,then submit the form to the postdoctor management office to seal,after which please scan the paper file and upload.
3. “The Postdoctoral Entrance Evaluation Form”
Download this form, and fill in it and submit the form to the postdoctor management office to seal,after which please scan the paper file and upload.
4. Passport (foreign nationals), (Hong Kong and Macao residents shall provide Hong Kong special administrative region resident identity cards) (Taiwan residents shall provide Taiwan resident identity cards);
5.“Doctorate Degree Certificate ”
(1)For Ph.D candidates who will graduate within 6 months, if they haven’t been granted the Doctorate Degree Certificate, they can still handle the station procedure, with the certificate of conferring the doctor's degree issued by the school or institution's academic degree authority. The Ph.D candidate should submit the Doctorate Degree Certificate to thePostdoctoral Management Office, which needs to be further checked and filed. Those who fail to submit the Doctorate Degree Certificate on time shall be required to quit.
(2)Foreign nationals may provide academic degree certification issued by Chinese diplomatic missions abroad.
V.Instructions for online application procedure
Log onto China postdoctoral website:http://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn, and fill in forms, following the procedures of “Instructions of entrance and exit of the postdoctor station”.
VI.Attention
The duration of postdoctoral research work is normally 2 years, no more than 4 years. Every postdoctor can work for two terms of stations at most, not exceeding 6 years in all. The postdoctoral procedure for the second term of station remains the same as that in the first time.
